Hi, I'm Amberlie!
I am an art therapist and counsellor based in North Vancouver. A bit about me:

My Approach
I believe in in the power of creative expression to foster healing and growth. My work is rooted in narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, and positive psychology, helping individuals explore their stories, challenge limiting beliefs, and reconnect with their strengths
Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about helping you find the tools, perspectives, and strengths that already exist within you. My role is to guide and support you in that process, in a way that feels safe, validating, and uniquely yours.

My Background
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Emily Carr University and a Diploma in Art Therapy (DVATI) from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute.
My own journey with mental health has deeply shaped my approach, giving me both personal and professional insight into the healing process. I deeply appreciate the vulnerability it takes to seek mental health support and honour each person’s journey with care, respect, and a non-judgmental space where they can explore and grow.

Who I Work With
I offer art therapy and counseling for youth and adults, supporting those navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, and identity exploration.
In addition to my private practice, I work in social-emotional support at an independent high school here in North Vancouver. Through this work I help students build resilience, self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies. I love working with teens and am endlessly learning from their wisdom, humour, and perspectives.
